You were informed about hearing on Rule 24(2) of which vires was challenged in the Rajib Mukhopadhyay case. It was first listed for final hearing on 20.2.2007 in Court No. 5 and then on 22.3.2007. It was further heard alongwith other connected matters on 8.3.2007. The hearing of the case is yet to complete and is now listed on 15.3.2007 on which date Yogiraj matter is also coming in Court No.3. The crux of the moment is that we are away from the goalpost and all of us have to put in joint effors to salvage ourselves.
As you know our relay hunger strike at Jantar Mantar will be touching the 1ooth day on 10.3.2007 in support of our demand for early allotment of society flats. Unfortunately, the entire issue has been confused and misinterpreted by concerned authorities so much so that one of the agencies responsible for deciding the issue, the DDA has gone to the extent of statement in a compiled report already submitted to the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi by a Committee under the Chairmanship of Jt. Director, CBI that none of the societies is complete and they are at different stages of construction. The verifiable fact remains that around 50 societies are complete for occupation and in a number of cases, the DDA has already given them completion certificates. It has given a wave of disbelief against Government Agencies like the DDA, the action of which has generated dissention amongst the suffering members and they are now pressed to believe that some foul play has been designed behind the curtain. We simply want that the projection of issues by the authorities concerned before the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi/NCT Government of Delhi/Government of India should be based on truth supported by the interest of the public at large. As a mark of peaceful protest against the aforesaid attitude and to make the Hon'ble UPA Chairperson, Smt Sonia aware of the fact, it has been decided to hold a peaceful march from Jantar Mantar to 10, Janpath as per the following programme:
Date and time of Assembly at Jantar Mantar 10.3.2007 at 3.00 p.m.
Meeting of members 3.00 to 4.00 p.m.
Starting of March to 10, Janpath 4.00 p.m.
You are requested to gather in large numbers alongwith your family members to ventilate your grievances before the Hon'ble UPA Chairperson, Smt. Sonia Gandhi whom we have already written for appointment.
