Even Doctors are not safe in Dwarka

The sub-city has become unsafe place for the resident as well as to the doctors. Theft happened at Vasundhara eye clinic situated at Ramphal chowk (B-221, near Hero Honda showroom) sector 7, Dwarka is the burning example of it.

According to Dr. Anjali Mehta, on the night of July 16th , some miscreants broke into the clinic and stole some equipment. They also went to the landlord’s flat upstairs and stole some valuables. The estimated cost of the damage was just under a lac of rupees (75-80,000). The route of entry used by them was by breaking the stone wall of the clinic from behind, cutting the grill and removing the hinges of the back door. It therefore seems to be the work of experienced people who had cutting tools and also a knowledge of the layout of the clinic. Since there was a significant amount of breaking down which was done and would definitely have generated some noise, the crime was fairly daring.

An FIR has been lodged at the Palam Vihar Police station. It is hoped that the culprits can be identified. It is a matter of sorrow that these miscreants have targeted a doctor’s clinic. Professionals who spend their waking hours tending to the needs of the community and work hard to earn their income feel very frustrated when acts like this occur.
