Grand Finale of Nanhe Chitrakar held at Gokul Garden, Dwarka

The grand finale of Nanhe Chitrakar contest was held recently at Govindam in Sector 7.
Winners of the series of the month-long painting competition from various societies from all across the city took part in the grand finale and showed their painting skills.


The programme was organised by Roots in collaboration with Dainik Jagran Cityplus and the winners were given the title of 1st Nanhe Chitrakar in Dwarka in different categories. After painting competition cultural programmes were presented by students of SAM International and Delhi English Public School.

Around 110 participants took part in the grand finale. Samman Sarkar, Rashmika Sriram, and Vidyadhar Patil were declared winner from the three categories according to age group. Participants also enjoyed food stalls, fun games and ice creams along with the performances.
The guests of honour on the occasion were Salil Tandon, national head CityPlus, Rajiv Solanki director Gokul Garden, Kuldeep Sharma, chairman Nav Gyandeep Public School, Cicily Kodyan and Raje Kurup, social workers and Robin Sharma, social activist and convenor of Rajeev Gandhi Vyapar Mandal, Sector 6. Roots team members included president Manoj Kumar, general secretary Upendra Kaushik and vice- president Parveen Kumar. Shields and prizes were given to winners by Salil Tandon and Kuldeep Sharma. Prize distribution was followed by dance performances.
