DWARKA–NOW INSTEAD OF SNATCHING, THEY TAKE AWAY FORCEABLY

In the past, snatchers used to snatch cash and other costly items before running away but now they don’t snatch but stop you on the way on the pretext of asking some address. After forcing you to hand them over your belongings yourself, they run away. On 15th February, four miscreants robbed a senior citizen in Sector 22, Dwarka of his gold chain and ring in broad daylight. Initially, one offender on a scooter stopped 62-year-old Ajay Kumar, (name changed on request) a resident of Sector 22. His son, Amit (name changed) told that immediately after two more miscreants riding on the bike joined and one requested his father to buy the lottery ticket. When he expressed his inability stating that he does not have much cash, the robbers said ‘but you have gold chain and ring’ and forced him to hand these items to them.

The incident was brought to the knowledge of the Dwarka Forum and PCR by dialing 100, Forum President Rejimon CK immediately brought it to the notice of DCP and ACP by shooting emails. SHO, Dwarka, Bhagwan Singh sent an inspector on the same day to the victim’s house for taking the written complaint from the victim but now victim is waiting for the registration of FIR.

Now, it has been confirmed from the Police that an FIR has been registered and the it has also sent a copy of FIR at the residence of the victim. This indicates positive change of approach of the police.
