Believing that parents & educators can together make the children self-sufficient, happy & able to live a full life, JM International School organized Orientation Day to greet the new members of JMIS family & meet the school faculty. School Principal welcomed the Chief Guest, Sh. Anupam Gakhar of Grg Consultants & other guests Ms.Susan Singh, Mr Shiv Dewan (formely in NDTV), Ms Mansi (formely in CNN- IBN) from the Edufice Career Orientation Program & the august parents. In her address to parents principal familiarized all with the ethos and evolving paradigms of education. Chief Guest made the parents aware of multiple intelligences in children & how JMIS curriculum helps in developing them, thereby sustaining the interest & curiosity of the learner in the classrooms & beyond the classrooms. ‘My Thinking Programme’ by Mind Edutainment was conducted to develop higher order thinking skills & process by using various ‘Thinking Tools’ to impart thinking skills & thinking process, relevant for various practical real life situations & challenges. Special workshops by the school faculty were organized based on the theme ‘IDEAL SELVES’ for the parents. Workshops had an mélange of activities for the parents to have deeper understanding of childhood & learning styles. Everyone was pleased with the proceedings and one could find the parents highly motivated and satisfied with the school’s philosophy that marks are not the only yardstick of success.
