Two separate incidents of crimes were reported recently. One of car theft on 6TH Dec. 09 and other of snatching of belongings of Madhu Gupta and her son on 25 March, 2010. In the first incident, the car of Dr. V. Mohanan, a Scientist in National Physical Lab, PUSA, New Delhi and a resident of Prodhogiki Aptt. Sec. 3, Dwarka was stolen. In the second incident, reportedly the dollars etc. worth about Rs. 2.5 lakh and other belonging such as credit cards, Driving Lincence, cheque book of Madhu Gupta and her Son Karan, were snatched in front of Sector 10 Metro Station at about 10.45 p.m. by bike riders. In both the cases, Police has not registered FIR immediately and in the case of theft of car, the FIR was delayed for about four-month. Dr. Mohanan informed on 21.4.2010 on phone that the Police have registered FIR in his case today (21.4.2010) after he sent many letters to the higher police officials and the media reported his case. An FIR was also registered after over four-day in the second incident after both the FIR were registered after the adverse public opinion started building up against the inaction of the police. Madhu Gupta is an employee of Punjab National Bank and her son came to Delhi from USA, where he is studying and amount robbed from him was to be paid to the Bank against the Education Loan taken by Karan.
