STAR Plus gears up to celebrate the biggest festival of the year in grandeur and in style! STAR Plus welcomes the festive season this October with twin-episodes of Diwali Dilon Ki, airing October 23rd and 30th at 8pm!
Diwali is not just the festival of lights, but also a celebration of the victory of good over evil, light over darkness, and anger over friendship. Diwali is that day of the year when you let go of all inhibitions and differences and revel in the feeling of oneness with your family and friends; and that’s exactly what Diwali Dilon Ki will bring to you. With a galaxy of stars and celebrities to light up your mood, Diwali Dilon Ki promises to be the biggest event of 2010 with a special surprise act by one of the most popular and all time favorite Bollywood actresses. Viewers have loved her in her new avatar and will be in for a treat as she performs on the hottest track of the industry for the first time on Indian television!
The first episode of the show kick-starts with an incredible Charkula act by Pooja Gor and Parul Chauhan, as they dance with a stack of matkas and diyas precariously balanced on their heads. While Ashita, Akshat and Abhishek Awasthi take centre-stage for a spectacular Krishna – Narakasura act with UV lights, Gopi, Ahem, Alekh, Akashi and Aamir Ali deliver a foot tapping performance depicting national integration. This fun act is followed by Sanjeeda’s perfect rendition of the nine roops of Devi in her Navdurga act. The first episode of the Diwali extravaganza ends in anticipation of the special Bollywood performance in the show.
The second episode begins with Mayuresh and Mukti’s special aerial act. They are followed by the most romantic couple on STAR Plus, Anuraag and Taani, who serenade viewers with their romantic Karva Chauth Act. With the entire Star Parivaar coming together, how can we miss out on the masti? The two most popular families of Star Plus – Sasural Genda Phool & Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai come together to participate in a fun rangoli competition.
And at the end of the second episode, the most awaited performance of the show arrives! STAR Plus plays host to Malaika Arora Khan’s first ever stage performance of the scorching hot number – Munni Badnaam Hui! Malaika sets the stage on fire this Diwali as she dances on her popular Munni track with all the elderly women members of Star Parivaar. Munni persuades the daadis and sasumas of the Star family to shake a leg with her on the cult hit number! This unbelievable act by Daadi from Sasuraal Genda Phool, Ammaji from Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya, Kokila from Saath Nibhana Saathiya, Bhabi Maa from Yeh Rishta Kya kehlata Hai and Daadi from Chand Chupa Badal Mein along with Malaika, surely takes your breath away.
