X’MAS CELEBRATIONS AT MBS

Christmas is truly a magical season. Christmas is a time when people around the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Children perform enthusiastically when given the opportunity. At MBS International School, Chrismas was celebrated in a rather grand way. Children decked up their classrooms with Christmas trees, stars, bells, balloons and colourful buntings. Little Santas and fairies at MBS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, celebrated X’mas with songs, carols and games.

Two days of celebration were filled with lot of funfilled activities where all the children participated in activities like decorating the Christmas tree and the Display board based on Christmas themes.

The tiny tots conducted a Special Assembly and had come in colourful dresses and enacted the parts of ‘Santa Claus’, ‘Mother Mary’ and angels, sonparies. They spoke on the significance and the reason for celebrating the day. The preschoolers basked in the sun and enjoyed participating in various games like biscuit race, 25mtr running, banana race etc.

The Primary children presented a dance programme depicting the story of Bethlehem. “If every day is an awakening, you will never grow old. You will just keep growing.” The students spoke on the momentousness of the spiritual awakening, which comes to the seeker, who is perfectly humble and "meek" and "poor in spirit." The quality of true humility is one of the indispensable fundamentals. “Talent is God given. Be humble. Fame is man-given. Be grateful. Conceit is self-given. Be careful”. These pearls of wisdom were given by the Primary students, which spoke about simplicity, holiness and the renunciation of all desire for worldly wealth and pride of learning.

This was followed by the Talent show, Tattoo making and dancing to the tunes of Christmas Carols Little ones as young as three showcased their talents; pitch and timing may not be perfect but the audience didn’t seem to mind. Their troubles temporarily forgotten, a symphony of happy choruses filled the air as the teachers looked on with wide smiles.Various colourful tattoos adorned the arms of the children and brought smiles to their faces.

Students enjoyed and sang Christmas carols like ‘Silent night’, ‘Jingle bells’ while taking Buggy rides along with the Santa Claus. Santa distributed gifts to all the students and played games with them. Children relished the cakes and sweets distributed among the children.

The school wore a festive look and was decorated with silver bells and colourful balloons.The MBS children are nothing short of a joy to be with. When they perform, what stands out is their enthusiasm and spirit. Celebrations were all fun and laden with lots of bells, sweets, X’mas trees, and merry making.
