The government plans to construct a number of new hospital buildings, notably in places like Sarita Vihar, Chhatarpur, Bapraula and Keshavpuam, among others. It also laid out Rs 50 crore for a new hospital at Dwarka.

"From the budget point-of-view, we have enough to work. The money has been increased and the hospital and medical college project for Dwarka is important, as the area has seen tremendous increase in population over the years," said Dr AK Walia, Delhi health minister.
