The plight of our neglected pocket in Dwarka sub-city

Our janta flats, pkt-b, sector 16b, Dwarka is the most neglected pocket of Dwarka in all respect. It is full of unauthorized construction, illegal commercial activities openly, taxi or travel stands vehicle openly. DDA has also neglected our pocket in a big way. While; you enter in our pocket large number of sign board of property dealers can be seen. Before December 2010, the numbers of boards were more but after the intervention of RWA and police the number of sign board came down. But still it is more, keeping the view in mind that it is residential colony where commercial activity is not permissible. This is the huge violation of law openly. It is due to the involvement of DDA staff clearly. DDA staffs do only one thing; they lodge a complaint to Enforcement Department regarding the illegal activities. Enforcement people come sometimes do some exercise and the same day every thing is closed and after the negotiation or talk every thing comes to alive again. This magic is going on regular basis. When I use the tool of RTI, DDA staffs try to defame my name for their safety, they want public cover. The people who are engaged in above activities, they try to save them.

Our flats and wall of all the flats look like old one. The drain pipes are dilapidated condition. DDA have done little bit once after the writing to them. Our pocket is divided into three Division; SWD-6, 7 & 9. It is strange we have one pocket but divided into three divisions. One can understand our plight while we are approaching for any developmental work. The all road and drain are divided into three divisions. There are three boundaries of three divisions in our pocket. It is not very old constructed flats,  almost 2003-4, DDA constructed the pocket, but they have constructed poorly in all respect. It is the duty of DDA to repair all walls and other dilapidated condition.

The entire Dwarka is suffering from the water shortage but we are fighting to stop flowing water in our pocket. There are almost 1734 flat and almost vacant. Around 400 flats are occupied by the owner or tenants. The pipes of all the flats are opened. Basically it is the duty of the owner of the flats to repair it but they don’t come to see the flats. The property dealers are looked after the flats for rent purpose.
There are so many cases of flash trade were exposed by the RWA and police. We asked property dealers and police so many times that before or after the rent out the flats at least detail should be handed over to RWA for information. But both the police or property dealers don’t come forward to do it. Police said in the Thana level meeting that this matter of unauthorized commercial activity does not come their jurisdiction. We requested them that we should come forward to control this situation. But they sometime do it but not regular basis. Once we compelled all the property dealers to disclose the list of tenants and verification, they did but they don’t give on regular basis.
As far as Horticulture division is concerned they do not do work to maintain parks in our pocket, but they don’t do it on the regular basis. We have requested hundered times to plant tree along with the road in the pocket but they did not do it. The DDA have given so many small and big parks in our pocket but horticulture division is not done its duty regularly. They are waiting for tender only. We have requested so many times, most of the DDA staff is not satisfied with me because of using RTI and writing to them. There are almost 60 to 70 percent are rented flats in our pocket. Tenants have nothing with the common problem. Property dealers can please the all departments and even some members of RWAs. This is the usual practice every where.

As far as cleaning process of the pocket is concerned it is almost zero. There is no dustbin kind of facilities in our pocket. We have requested so many times to MCD but nothing came out. Recently City Plus,Dainik Jagran  (5th-  11 June)covered it on page no 2.

This is the story of my pocket. The case of unauthorized religious place is pending in the DDA. We all need temple but encroachment of land is not morally or legally valid at any cost. DDA try to defame my name in this direction. I wrote LG about the whole story; this is also a blockade of developmental work. Some people approached C.E. Solanki ji with memorandum signed by 123 people in which mostly property dealer’s kind of people was involved in it to legalize the religious place in my absence.  I am not against the construction of religious place but it should be legal or authorized. It is the primary duty of the DDA or State to take proper watch in the property of the country. Land is the property of the country. Recently DDA allotted the land to Jain Temple in sector 10, this is right way to construct the religious place. We cannot allow some people or group of people to take the thing granted.

Recenlty DTC extended the route of RL-75 but it is not regular. We have requested DDA to ran a bus from here but still nothing came our. There is circular service nearby my pocket, sector 16b.

Dwaka basically is the biggest city and we are proud of it but without fundamental facilities like water, hospital, approach road, cinema hall, public library, proper community halls.

In Zonal plan there are many community halls in the dwarka or even in sector 16b, but DDA has not constructed in time. It is duty of DDA to cover the land which was in their possession in time so that people come to live in Dwarka. In our sector 16b, there is no market or shopping complex, no mother diary booth or etc. WE are totally neglected by the DDA.

WE HAVE TO RESPECT THE RULE OF LAW OF OUR MOTHER LAND. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO CONTROL THE ALL ILLEGAL THINGS. IF WE WATCH IT DAILY BASIS, THERE WILL BE NO NEED OF AGITATION OR MOVEMENT. LET’S COME FORWARD TO ACTIVATE THE GOVERNMENT NETWORK.
