Recently, Pragati public school , Dwarka organized it’s
Annual Function “Srijan Sopan” a literary expedition in the school Premises.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was Padmashri Dr. Shyam Singh Shashi, the eminent
social scientist, poet , litterateur, academician, Journalist. Mr. Shashadhar Acharya, the eminent
chhau dance exponent and Sangeet Natak Academy Awardee presided over the
function as the Guest of Honour. A number of parents and other dignitaries
attended the function.
The Chairperson Dr.
Poonam Manshani and the Principal Ms. Geeta Kapur warmly welcomed the guests and honoured them with mementos.The programme commenced with the
lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest followed by orchestra where the students performed in unison a
blend of Indian rhythm and instruments. Then the colourful cultural programme
commenced with Ganesh Stuti which invoked
a sense of harmony and peace. The
Principal Ms. Geeta Kapur presented
the Annual School report &
enumerated the various achievements of the school. The chairperson Dr. Poonam Manshani released the annual
school magazine “Pragati Ke Path Par”
also congratulated the students for their achievements in plethora of
activities . The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and expressed his views on spreading
knowledge and lighting the torch of learning
through innovative ideas .He spoke about the importance of Hindi
language and motivated the students to possess good moral values and to have a
strong character apart from excelling in academics so as to become a
responsible citizen of this country. The students put up a scintillating dance
drama “Srijan Sopan” which was a
blend of language , literature and glimpses of golden history and highlighted
the development of the language through various phases. It was beautifully choreographed & presented by
the students.
The students enthralled
the audience with their boundless energy, soaring spirits, vibrance & grand props. The
grand finale was the show stealer where the tiny tots & the other senior
students put up a spectacular performance on a medley of songs which mesmerized
the audience. The function concluded with the chairperson Dr. Poonam Manshani’s
vote of thanks followed by the national anthem.
