Dwarka Forum meets Chief Minister on key problems

A delegation of Dwarka Forum today met Mrs. Sheila Dikshit, Chief Minister, Delhi to highlight the important issues concerning Dwarka sub-city. On the demand for expeditious construction of 750-bed hospital in Dwarka inaugurate in 2008 raised by Sushil Kumar, President, CM said that she will look in to the matter to expedite this and suggested that in the meantime, residents can avail the services of the Ambulances provided by the Delhi govt. to reach nearby Hospital.

On the problem of acute shortage of water, she regretted that till more water is made available, she is helpless. On pointing out to the construction of Munak Canal by DF, CM said that the work of Canal is stuck.


On the suggestion for more entry and exit points for the sub-city, CM assured that she will look in to this. Mr. Rejimon, Vice President, DF demanded for the construction of a tunnel road to IGI-Terminal-3 from Shahbad-Mohamadpur Railway Station and a new Road over Bridge (ROB) over Palam Railway crossing or widening the existing Palam-Dwarka Fly-over.

Mrs. Dikshit suggested to DF to become a member of the Bhagidari scheme of the Delhi Govt. and DF informed her that it has already taken an initiative in this regard.

On the demand of unification of constituency, CM said that it is out of purview of Delhi Govt and we should approach the appropriate authority.
