SDMC LAUNCHES GARBAGE COLLECTION CAMPAIGN AT DWARKA

Will open office at Dwarka for collecting House Tax

South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has launched its garbage collection and sanitation work of Dwarka from sector 6 market today. This work was so far being done by a private contractor – DMSWMS – who has been removed after plethora of complaint against his working. The SDMC has deployed 15-mini trucks for this which will collect the garbage from door to door and the SDMC will provide the bin to every society, DDA Pocket, market and for other spots. Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Gehlot, declared that the SDMC will soon open its office for collecting House Tax in Sector 9, Dwarka and an inspector will soon start issuing licences to shopkeepers by visiting at their shops.


Speaking on the occasion inaugurating this in a function, Gehlot, Chairman, Standing Committee said that about in a week, the bins will be supplied to each society and pocket and hoped that since the Dy. Commissioner is going to soon become the resident of Dwarka, the monitoring will be easy and effective. He said that the mini trucks dump garbage at a local site from where the same will be taken by trucks for the dumping site. 


After few days, a review meeting will be held with the representatives of the area to smoothen working further and to rectify the defects.

On the occasion, Shashi Tomar, Corporator, Krishna Gehlot, Robin Sharma, Cicily Kodiyan, Mukesh Sinha, Ashok Yadav, Sushil Kumar, Rajiv Solanki, Mr. Maan and other residents were present in large number.
