Drive Smart Drive Safe organized a Walkathon

D2S Aims to Make Dwarka an accident Free Zone

“Drive Smart Drive Safe (Club D2S)”, a Delhi based NGO organized a Walkathon that was supported by various schools in Dwarka. In the morning hours of the day with over 400 students walked for the cause of making “Dwarka an Accident Free Zone”. These students along with other volunteers walked from Sector 6 crossing to Ashirwaad Chowk. The motive of the walk was to engage and make more people aware of road safety and associated aspects.


This Walkathon intended to promote road safety and focus on improving visibility on roads as a key measure to ensure safer roads in India.

The walkathon was supported by BGS School, Saraswati Model School, Rashtriya Pratibha vikas vidhyalya sector-10 and Delhi Traffic Police. The students played a very critical role as they  showed their responsibility towards following all safety rules on road. The students were seeing
interacting with drivers on road about best practices on road. . The NGO aims to carry out similar walk at different locations in Delhi and later do similar activities all over India. Reduction in the
number of deaths due to road accidents is the aim of the initiative and the organization is committed to it.
