Dwarka Forum organized an open debate of all the three candidates of Matiala Constituency in front of local residents of the area. The debate took place at Gokul Garden where hundreds of residents interacted with their candidates like Mr. Sumesh Shokeen-Congress party, Mr. Rajesh Gahlot-BJP, Mr. Gulab Singh Yadav-AAP , Mr. Narender Yadav-Samajvadi Party & even Capt. Ajay Kr. Pandey an independent candidate. Mr. Sushil Kumar-President of Dwarka Forum informed Dwarka Parichay that It was an effort to bring all the candidates in front of the residents of Dwarka. He further added that they had already organized such public interaction just after M.C.D. election also.

Mr. Sumesh Shokeen & Mr. Rajesh Gahlot are known to Dwarkaites so they explained their achievements of their respective areas. Some of the residents showed their anger also on some issue still pending for many years.

This is a very important election for both the parties because Mr. Rajesh Gahlot is contesting as an MLA for the first time and he is a local resident & belongs to Navada village and he is very actively engaged in socio-political-religious activities that’s why he is very popular public figure in his constituency. He has been Dy. Mayor twice, Councilor, presently Chairman-Standing Committee of SDMC & a matured politician. BJP will certainly get benefit of the visit of Mr.Narender Modi in Dwarka. On the other hand, Mr. Sumesh Shokeen also from rural background and belongs to Chawla Village and presently sitting MLA of this constituency & Congress party again shown trust in him and given him chance to prove his worth.

Both the candidates having good reputation in their respective constituency but voters are well aware of their right to choose their better candidate. Party does not mean in this election, Work and behavior of the candidate will win the election claimed some intellectual who attended the debate.
