Delhi based chain of performing art centers, TANSEN SANGEET MAHAVIDYALAYA, today announced the launch of Indian Idol Academy (IIA) with aim to engage students in the age group of 5 to 16 years and train them in various aspects of music, including vocal singing, live/stage performance, music recordings, preparation for reality shows & competitions.
The academy is an extension of the biggest on-air reality show, Indian Idol, which follows a revolutionary methodology of interactive, multimedia based workshop sessions, conducted by Legends of music, to teach students the nuances of music, live performances & playback/professional singing.

Initiation to the Academy program starts with a 2 hour session Jaago – Festival of Music where children are introduced to the basic concepts of music & singing. Open to all learners, with or without prior knowledge of music, the session is an engaging, interactive experience where students connect with musical legends Hariharan and Salim.
Elaborating on the structure of the Festival of Music, Mr. Ashish Dange, Director-CEO, Taanz Performers explained that the highly entertaining and educative session helps individuals discover their Musical Quotient (MQ). During the pilot runs, learners across all ages have found the session to be extremely engaging and entertaining. He invited parents to encourage children use their summer vacations effectively by attending the session, that could potentially change the lives of the learners.
Indian Idol Academy is jointly founded by Freemantle Media, the owners of the Indian Idol brand, and KarmYog Education Network. The Academy program is being exclusively offered at all centers of TANSEN SANGEET MAHAVIDYALAYA across Delhi-NCR.
