Speaking to the media, Sharmistha said that “Suraksha, Sugam & Sanskriti, is my motto for the constituency." She also added that she is contesting on the local issues. Reiterating her priorities, Sharmishtha said that upgradation & maintenance of basic amenities to provide better quality of life - better lighting and cleanliness; the problem of traffic and parking would form part of her key agenda for the constituency. She would like to conduct a traffic survey of the constituency with help of experts to enable smooth flow and better parking.
She further said that Safety & Security, particularly of Women and Senior Citizens is her priority and she will address it by installation, maintenance & monitoring of CCTVs; ensuring adequate lighting in dark areas; forming Mohalla Suraksha Samitis; conduct Gender sensitization programs and self defence programs for women.
Mukherjee also emphasized that she will set up a Youth Development Fund with along with Corporates for the betterment of youth in the constituency.
“Making a major part of constituency Wi-fi enabled; Community RO filter water; Mobile Health Vans; ensure supply and drainage for C.R. Park fish market are also a part of my vision for Greater Kailash” Sharmistha Mukherjee added.
