“The 10 Commandments for Family Business” authored by Professor Kavil Ramachandran launched at IHC


CII Family Business Network India Chapter in collaboration with Indian School of Business ( ISB) organized a panel discussion on “Managing Governance Challenges in Family Business” at Indian Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

Panelists discussed about various aspects of Challenges in Family Business in present situation. The renowned panelists participated in the discussion included Mr. Sunil Kant Munjal, Jt Managing Director, Hero MotoCorp Limited, Mr. Puneet Dalmia, Managing Director, Dalmia Cement Bharat Limited, Mr. Anil Rai Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, Havells India Limited. The session was well moderated by Professor Kavil Ramachandran, Excecutive Director, ISB.

Also launched a book - “The 10 Commandments for Family Business” authored by Professor Kavil Ramachandran-Excecutive Director, ISB .

About the Book
Often the significance of family business is not understood in its entirety. The purpose of this book is to help family businesses understand better the phenomenon of family business. The 10 Commandments in the book work like a handbook for business families to refer to and act upon.A must read for members of business families, educators, students and anyone else who wants to understand how families should be run, The 10 Commandments for Family Business details the unique paradoxes, challenges, and dilemmas business families face. 

This book is written more as a practical guide or self-help manual with a set of ‘do it yourself’ tools like action plans, checklists, and templates to enable readers to introspect, self-evaluate, and develop their Family Business Governance.

Ms. Pooja Jha -Deputy Director, Confederation of Indian Industry informed Dwarka Parichay that these programs will be beneficial for the new generation. She emphasized to spread these messages among youth so that Indian youth can explore new business opportunities in life.
