And the guest of honour were Mr. Balbir Singh Yadav, President of Senior Citizen Association, Dwarka, Mr. Naresh Saxena, Vice President of Federation of CGHS Ltd., Dwarka, Sister Saroj, Director of Brahma Kumari Ashram, Dwarka, Mr. Shubh Kant Jain, Additional General Manager, BHEL, Mrs. Suseela Rao, President of Andhra Vanita Mandili and Mr. Mukesh Gupta, Rtd. Major General from Indian Army.
From government schools of Dwarka sec 2, sec 3, sec 6 (site I & site II), sec 22, Adarsh Public School from Vikas Puri, Venkateshwar Sec-10, MRV School, The Indian Heights School, OPG World School, RD Rajpal School, one student from each NK Bagrodia School, St. Mary’s School, New Millenium Apt sec 23, Adrash Apt sec 3 and 3 students from Sheetal Vihar sec 23 participated.
There were more than 200 essays and were checked by Mr. Mukesh Gupta. He said that it was very difficult to judge the winners as the children have written very well. Many of them have done good research work also on the subject. More than 350 persons were there in the function including the parents/guardian. They all got participating certificates and I, II, III winners got prizes. Folk dances by famous international troupe, Sahitya Kala Parishad, were performed.
