On the auspicious occasion of Martyrdom Day (Shaheedi Purab) of Sahib Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Dwarka Sikh Forum had arranged a CHHABEEL near DDA Sports Complex at the crossing of Sector - 5, 6,10 & 11, Dwarka on Friday, the 22nd May, 2015. In which cold sweet milk water was distributed throughout the day. Large number of Dwarka residents including representatives of various social and religious associations participated to pay their obeisance to the Guru, said Sardar Arvinder Singh Chhatwal, Secretary, Dwarka Sikh Forum.
On this very day, Guru Arjan Dev ji, sacrificed his life to uphold the fundamental right to equality, justice, freedom and religion, said Sardar Arvinder Singh Chhatwal, Secretary.
According to Sardar Daya Singh Sandhu, Guruji constructed the Harmandar Sahib (Golden Temple) , Amritsar and compiled the Adi Granth, Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. Guru Arjan Dev ji taught us the meaning and motive of life, said Sardar Jagmohan Singh Dilawari, Joint Secretary.
