Apeejay School of Management organized 5th Conference on Management Practices & Research (ICMPR-2015)


Apeejay School of Management, Dwarka, New Delhi organized 5th Conference on Management Practices & Research (ICMPR-2015) on 24th July 2015. The conference with the theme ‘Management Trends and Practices in Global Scenario’ served as an interactive forum to discuss contemporary issues and recent trends in management practices and research in changing global scenario. Delegates from India, USA, Srilanka, Sultanate of Omam, and Ethiopia attended the conference and presented their research papers. Prof. (Dr.) Alok Saklani, Director, Apeejay School of Management welcomed the guests and wished all the participants a great experience in the conference. Prof. Ashok Ogra, Director, Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication dwelt on Eurozone activities, Euro crises and spoke about business practices. 

Chief Guest, Mr. R. S. Butola, Former Chairman, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. gave inaugural address. He talked about role of various types’ leadership and its role in the growth of corporates as well as economies.

Mr. Mukul Sanwal, Retired IAS Officer and Formerly with UN bodies (Guest of Honour) discussed about the smart cities and impact of rural migration to urban cities.

Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Gupta, Vice Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, discussed the importance of innovations in Business Corporation. 

Prof. (Dr.) D K Malhotra, Nydick Term Chair and Professor of Finance, Philadelphia University, USA, delivered keynote address. He presented his views on value creation in business corporations.

Mr. Timothy Moruzzi, Ulster Unversity, Ireland delivered keynote address through video talk. He emphasized on role of research in the area of consumer behaviour.

A conference proceeding bearing an ISBN number was also released on this occasion. The inaugural session was followed by the technical session wherein the delegates presented their papers on various aspects of Management Practices & Research.

Dr. Rashmi Malhotra from Saint Joseph’s University, USA and Dr. Purushottam Meena acted as conference chairs for two difference technical sessions. Ms Monika Arora, Head-IT and Operations Management, conference convener, Apeejay School of Management, proposed a vote of thanks.
