प्रदूषण मुक्त दिल्ली के लिए बच्चों की मुहिम

एस.डी.एम.सी की महापौर श्रीमती कंवलजीत सहरावत के नेतृत्व में कमल एवम् वन्दना स्कूल समूह के चेयरमैन व अनऐडड पब्लिक स्कूलज़ संघ, दिल्ली के उपाध्यक्ष श्री वी.पी. टंडन, श्री वेक्टेश्वर इन्टरनेशनल स्कूल, सैक्टर-18, द्वारका के चेयरमैन श्री शैलेन्द्र सोलंकी व प्रधानाचार्या श्री मती नीता अरोरा, शिक्षाविद दयानन्द वत्स, कमल माड्ल सी. सै. स्कूल, मोहन गार्डन की प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती वन्दना टंडन, आर. डब्लयू. ऐ. सैक्टर-10, द्वारका के सदस्यों व स्कूली बच्चों ने विद्यालय के प्रांगण, पार्को व सड़क के किनारे वृक्षारोपण किया।

इस अवसर पर महापौर ने 5000 पौधे बच्चों में वितरित किए और उनसे आग्रह किया कि वे कम से कम एक पौधा अवश्य लगाए व उसके पनपने तक संरक्षण प्रदान करे। अपने सम्बोधन में श्रीमती कंवलजीत सहरावत ने श्री वी.पी. टंडन को इस सकारात्मक मुहिम के लिए साधूवाद कहा व वृक्षारोपण को वायु व ध्वनि प्रदूषण का एक मात्रा हल बताया।

Students of NKBPS, Dwarka brought laurels

Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (Deemed University) conducted various competitions for the students of various schools from 5th to 11th August. These competitions included Essay writing, Declamation, Sanskrit Song, Strotragayanan and Quiz Competition. More than 45 schools and institutions actively participated in these competitions. The students made the school proud by winning accolades and prizes in the same. They won 10 prizes in all constituting cash award and certificates in all the competitions.

TREE PLANTATION DRIVE held at Sachdeva Global School

‘Someone is sitting in the shade today, because someone planted a tree long time ago’
Student members of the ‘Science and Environment Club’ from classes III-V enthusiastically participated in the ‘PLANTATION DRIVE’ on July 24,2017 under the supervision of the Science faculty.

The students were thrilled to plant saplings and gained an insight on the significance of planting trees. The children also understood that such regular green practices will lead to the formation of a healthy world around them.

India’s largest youth led organisation: Indian Road Safety Campaign, working with the mission of road safety, launched the biggest championship for all colleges across India on 19th August 2017. Launch of The Safer India Challenge(iSAFE’17) was graced by the presence of Mr. Abhay Damle, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways as the Chief Guest. While, Prof. PVM Rao, who is known to be a pioneer in the field of science and technology, magnified the occasion as the Guest of Honour. As the winning trophy was unveiled by Guests, the audience, also participants for iSAFE’17, cheered with joyfulness.

Thereafter, calling upon youth of our country to contribute towards making indian roads safer, first event under iSAFE’17 was initiated. It was a Panel Discussion on the topic “How can youth contribute in changing the scenario of road-safety in India?” With, Mr. Dinesh Mohan, Head, W.H.O. Collaborating Centre for Research and Training in Safety Technology along with Mrs. Sushma Sagar from AIIMS Trauma Care, Mr. Rohit Baluja, UN Representative of Road Safety in India with Dinesh Gupta from Delhi Traffic Police and Mr. Abhay Damle, Joint Secretary, (MoRTH) were the panelists for the discussion. With a diverse panel inclusive of people from Ministry, Police, Social Sector, Advocacy and Journalism, it was an interactive event for the college going student audience. Mr. Dipak K Dash, Senior Reporter with The Times of India moderated the panel discussion. All panelists shared their views, findings and opinions with 850 students that had gathered in Seminar Hall at IIT Delhi.

Moreover, Hon’ble Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari also addressed the audience by sending a short video encouraging all college students to participate in iSAFE’17 in order to work for the cause of Road Safety. This nine month long college championship(iSAFE’17), being organised by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways(MoRTH), Indian Road Safety Campaign(IRSC), TRIPP and Delhi Traffic Police. It is a rare opportunity for people who want to contribute to the issue of road safety and work with the ministry(MoRTH) under the guidance of experts from varied field. iSAFE’17 gives students an opportunity to work for the society at large. Many internship, fellowship and scholarship will be provided to best students. Prize worth 50 Lakhs will be be given to the winning teams. Activities under iSAFE’17 have been organised keeping in view of, “making them do, what they like to do” to create a sustainable impact. Holistically, the impacts of the championship would include Technical innovations, Medical Research, 500+ sq. km on ground level implementation to improved road conditions and improved emergency care.

Assembly of students of Sachdeva Global School held

Students of class IX-B conducted the assembly on 27 July 2017 on the topic: It is easy to judge but difficult to understand. It started with an update of the recent happenings in and around the world followed by a motivating thought. In order to make audience understand the topic better, students presented a short skit before them.

The main motive of skit is to make everyone understand that through judging we separate and through understanding we grow and understanding requires patience, compassion and willingness to believe which can help to bring positive change in one’s attitude.

The assembly ended in an inspiring manner with the acknowledgement of the winners in the various categories by the Head of the School- Ms Sumana Dutta Sarkar.

Trophy Experience kicks off for FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017

In a first of a kind experience, thousands of children along with dignitaries from the Government of India came together to celebrate the launch of the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 Trophy Experience in the capital city of New Delhi.

The Official Winner’s Trophy for FIFA U-17 World Cup was placed at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi earlier today. More than 7000 children taking part in the Mission XI Million festival, part of the tournament’s legacy programme got a chance to see the Official Trophy up-close. Mission XI Million festival participant Navdeep Singh from St. Mark’s School became the first Indian to pose with the FIFA U-17 World Cup Official Trophy.

“The winner’s trophy for what will be the first FIFA tournament in India will embark upon an incredible journey starting today and it’s a really special moment for all of us to be here to flag-off the same. All fans of the game get to take a picture with it, to be with something the world will fight for in less than 50 days. I hope more and more people come and be a part of it,” said Shri. Injeti Srinivas, Director General of Sports Authority of India.

Also present at the event were adidas Technical Director and two-time World Cupper for Nigeria, Afolabi Rabiu, Tournament Director, LOC, FIFA U-17 World Cup, Javier Ceppi and Project Director, LOC, FIFA U-17 World Cup, Joy Bhattacharjya.

Talking about Mission Eleven Million, Afolabi Rabiu said, "The MXIM programme is great initiative to get young kids behind the beautiful game and I'm sure this will go a long way in taking football to the next level in country".

The Winner’s Trophy is set to tour all six tournament host cities over the next five weeks. Football fans and families across India are invited to be part of the Trophy Experience.

The idea behind the Trophy Experience is to give Indians a once-in-a-lifetime experience to see the FIFA U-17 World Cup Winner’s Trophy up close.

The Official Trophy will be placed at India Gate on Sunday, 20th August where residents from the capital will be able to come and see the silverware the winning team of FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 will lift on October 28th.

Independence Day celebrated at Sachdeva Global School

Sachdeva Global School celebrated the nation’s 70th Independence Day with unparalleled patriotic fervor and zeal in the school ground. The chief guest for the event was Shri S.K Sachdeva, Chairman, Sachdeva Group of institutions. Dr. S.C Maheshwari, eminent member of the Management Committee, Mrs. Kiran Gambhir, Advisor, Sachdeva Group of Institutions, Mrs. Sudha Sadangi, headmistress Sri Ram World School and Dr. Namita Sharma, Principal, Queen’s Valley School were among the other guests present. 

 The students paid tribute to key historical figures of Akbar, Ashoka and Chandragupta Maurya, who laid the foundation for secularism and patriotism in the country. The presentation ended with a tableau of seemingly ordinary citizens like Jadav Payeng(Forest Man of India) , Dashrath Manjhi(Mountain Man of India) and Subhashini , who have done extraordinary deeds for the upliftement of the society and thus contributed to further strengthening the foundations of the country. 

The event ended with the release of tri-coloured balloons in the air by the guests, with the spirit of patriotism and nationalism reigning strong in the ground.

The School celebrated the 71st Independence Day with zeal and enthusiasm befitting the occasion. The spirit of freedom was vibrantly alive as every person and every corner of the school was adorned in the tri colours of the nation. The program commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Chief Guest Brig. Harinder Walia, Lt.Col Amarjeet Kaur Gulati, Col. Ravi Tokas, Chairperson Ms Madhu Gupta, Manager Mr Puneet Gupta and School Principal Ms Archana Narain. This was followed by National Anthem and releasing of Tri colour balloons.The prestigious March Past comprising of four House contingents namely Manas, Prayas, Sanskar and Siddhant filled everyone with pride and honour. The school Principal Ms Archana Narain in her speech exhorted upon the students to follow the path of righteousness and work diligently to bring laurels to the country. Addressing the students, the Chief Guest Brig Harinder Walia spoke on the importance of education and the role played by the educational institutions. He reiterated that the school, teachers and parents play a vital role in nation building. The cultural performances set the pitch and the variety of presentations e.g. Patriotic Songs, Unity in Diversity-Walk Past, Demonstration by International Skippers, Martial Arts Display, Drills, Yoga Demonstration and scintillating Dance performances received much deserved applaud from the audience present. Another major highlight of the day, ‘Kite Flying Activity’ organized for parents and students also added to the festive spirit to the day. It was a proud moment to watch the students showcasing their talent like a dream and spread the essence of tricolour wrapped in emotions and pride for our motherland. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to remember our freedom fighters and experience the freedom, peace, unity & diversity of our great nation.

New Rashtriya Society Celebrated Independence Day

71st Independence Day was celebrated by New Rashtriya Society, Plot No. 15, Sector 18-A, Dwarka, on the 15th August, 2017, from 9.00 AM onwards. Initially, painting competitions were held for the children in three age group categories, i.e. Painting competition for children in the age group of between 3 to 6 years, seven to ten years and eleven to fifteen years. The children participating in this competition were given a time of one hour to complete their paintings and the Theme was to make any painting relating to India's independence. In all 34 children enthusiastically participated in making their painting better than others. This competition was over by 10.00 and a panel of three judges were given all the paintings to evaluate and give them marks based on adhering to the theme of paintings, colouring patron / scheme, neatness and presentation etc. All the materials for drawing various paintings was provided by the Society itself.

 Thereafter, our National Flag was unfurled at 11.00 AM by Shri Ravinder Verma, President of the Society along with group of small children and it was followed by singing of National Anthem by one and all, which was further followed by distributions of cold drinks etc. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Verma emphasised the need for inculcating the spirit of nationalism, keeping in mind the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters and also making a habit of keeping out atmosphere neat and clean. Most of the members and many other residents of the Society had assembled in the court yard of our Society (along with their family members) in a very happy, elegantly dressed and in a gaiety mood. Small children were particularly enthusiastic about this celebration as they were very curious to know and experience to see for themselves as to how the events are going to take place. The young budding artists were really bubbling with energy and a lot of enthusiasm.

Then, cultural programme was started and many children sang patriotic songs eulogising the great freedom struggle of our country. First item was presented by Snavya Jain by giving a Kathak Dance performance on a English song - Shape of You. Then two girls - Srishti and Shivanshi Kaul also gave a dance performance on a patriotic song. Pragun and Pranshi Batra sang a beautiful song - Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Krishna Is My Super Star........... Then a small doll like little girl Divyanshi recited a poem - यह हिन्दुस्तान हमारा है ....... and another small girl Aaradhya Mehta also recited a patriotic poem. Some 7/8 more children also sang some beautiful patriotic poems and made the whole atmosphere lively and entertained the audience. Some small children were seen shouting slogans in high pitch like Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Jai Hind and Vande Matram etc., in a very enthusiastic manner and echoing the spirit of patriotism and nationalism.

Then a group of ladies - Mrs. Saroj Bakshi, Mrs. Deepti Verma, Mrs. Geeta, Mrs. Usha Dhingra , Swati Tyagi, Mrs. Nidhi Jain and Ms. Radhika sang two patriotic songs - यह देश है वीर जवानों का , अलबेलों का मस्तानों का, इस देश यारो क्या कहना ! and है प्रीत यहाँ की रीत सदा , मैं गीत वहीँ के गाता हूँ , भारत का रहने वाला हूँ, भारत की बात सुनाता हूँ ............... and regaled the audience. Then another lady - Harpreet Kaur also sang a song promoting the spirit of nationalism and remembering the huge sacrifices made by our great and brave soldiers who fought for the motherland and safe-guarded our borders - एह मेरे वतन के लोगो , ज़रा आँख में भर लो पानी / जो शहीद हुए हैं उनकी , ज़रा याद करो क़ुरबानी !! The last item in the cultural events segment was a patriotic song sung by R.D. Bhardwaj - " धरती सुनहरी अम्बर नीला , हर मौसम रंगीला / ऐसा देस है मेरा - ३ , बोले पपीहा कोयल गाये - २ / सावन घिर घिर आये, ऐसा देस है मेरा - २ !! and the audience appreciated the song by clapping in full force.

Sports Events : Then some race events (50 Meters, 100 Meters and 300 meters) were conducted for children in 3/4 different age groups. Musical Chair Races were also conducted for the ladies and gents as well and these two sports events provided a lot of fun and humour to participants and viewers as well.

And lastly, prizes were distributed to all the winners of 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions. Shri Ravinder Verma, President of Society, gave away prizes to the prize winners. Efforts of the Managing Committee of the Society were appreciated by many members and residents of the Society as they opined that it is only through holding of such festivals and gathering the majority of the people residing in our Society get a chance to meet one another. Rohit Gupta, Secretary of the Society conducted the entire function as convener of the show.

Society get a chance to interact and socialize with one another and talks in very free and frank atmosphere. Celebration of these functions in a cordial and friendly manner, becomes very much essential as they promote the spirit of friendship, mutual trust, brotherhood and the spirit of nationalism / patriotism also gets boosted.

Some prizes to were also given by a senior member of the Society, Mrs. Raj Deewan to those people who sang some songs and poems etc. Then President of the Society thanked all those members and employees of the Society who expended a helping hand in conducting the Independence Day programme and making this celebration a great success. The function came to a close at 2.00 PM, which was followed by lunch.

Prize Winners : Suhana, Naesha, Vansh, Toshi, Kavya, Shiv, Shrishti, Shauraya Jain, Snavya Jain, Vansh Juneja, Shivanshi Kaul, Arnav, Ishan, Chhavi, Arjun, Dev Malik, Aniket, Aradhya Mehta and Navya. Mrs. Sushma won the Musical Chair (Ladies) race, Harpreet Kaur and Mrs. Usha Dhingra won the second and third prize in this game. Surinder Vats won the Gents Musical Chair race and he was followed by Nilabh and Vipul Batra who won second and third prize in this game, in the games and events conducted by the Society (NRCGHS).

Madhur Bhandarkar launches the website of Film Festival in Press Club

18th August,2017: New Delhi, Famous Film Director-Madhur Bhandarkar along with Advocate Alok Kumar-Chairman of Bhartiya Chitra Sadhna (BCS) and Arun Arora-Chairman Organising Committee of Chitra Bharti film Festival launches the website of Chitra Bharti film Festival in Press club today.

According to Advocate Alok the BCS will hold film Festival of short film from 16-18 February, 2018 in New Delhi. The entries have been invited for the Categories of Sort films, documentary films, Animation films and Campus Films. BCS had also hold an All India competition for the Logo design for the upcoming Chitra Bharti Film Festival, The Jury of the logo competition comprised of Adwaita Gadanayak-Director General of National Gallery of Modern Art, Vasudev Kamath-well known artist of India and National President of Sanskar Bharti & J.Nand Kumar-National Convener Pragnya Pravah chose Ms. Bhuvi Gupta from Mumbai the winner of the competition. The Bhartiya Chitra Sadhna is a Public Charitable Trust & had already organized its first film festival in Indore on 26-28 February, 2016 in which 309 entries received from eight states. 

The trust is planning to organize Film appreciation courses in all the major states of India soon. In the previous film festival famous film director Madhur Bhandarkar, vivek Agnihotri, Mukesh Tiwari, Rahul Ravel, Manoj Joshi, vinod Mankar and Raj Dutt graced the event.

N.K.Bagrodia Public School, Dwarka celebrated Maths week from 15th July to 19th July 2017. The primary objective of the celebration was to enhance and cultivate mathematical skills and develop passion and aptitude for mathematics. Students of classes I to IX participated whole heartedly in various activities in the week long celebration. 

A plethora of activities like Dominoes ,fun filled intra class competition- Ice-Cream Sundae Place Value Quiz, Designing a Landscape Using Geometrical Shapes, Crossword Puzzles, Sieve of Erathosthenes-activity based on finding all of the smaller primes and named after the Greek mathematician ‘Eratosthenes’, a quiz- Mathagical Tsunami , a Shot in the Dark, Catch the Crook and Humbola were conducted to encourage young learners to get involved, to dispel Math phobia and create a love for the subject. It was a week filled with fun and fruitful experiences.

JM International School celebrates Umang, Theatre Fest 2017

The enthusiasts for Grade IV of JM International School captivated all with their finesse and flamboyance in their theatre fest, Umang. The audience was left astounded as they viewed an array of performances including an instrumental brew, solo song performances, Drama presentation, and dance performances. The theme of the theatre fest was “Mausam Pyar Ka.”

The students presented a scintillating musical orchestra medley, “Rut Aa Gayi Re”, the animation play, “Ms. Sehat Se Mulaqat”, students left all inkling with their thought-provoking drama presentation, “Mausam Pyar Ka.”

The occasion was graced by Mr. Dhirendra Bhatnagar, Secretary. General, UNESCO clubs & CUCAI, Ms Ghanapriya Elangbam, Country Coordinator, India Generation Global and Ms. Sandhya Gupta, Education Consultant-Asia for Generation Global who praised the nascent blooms for their spectacular efforts and perseverance.

स्वतंत्रता दिवस के सुवसर पर रंगारंग संगीतमय शाम का सफल आयोजन

गत दिनों मलहार संगीत कला केंद्र एवं मुकेश स्मृति कला संगम के संयुक्त प्रयासों द्वारा “आजादी की उमंग, मुकेश जी के संग” नामक रंगारंग संगीतमय संध्या का सफल आयोजन इंडिया इस्लामिक कल्चरल सेंटर में हुआ.

उक्त कार्यक्रम के संजोयक परमिंदर चड्ढा एवं प्रदीप शर्मा के अनुसार इस संगीत भरी महफ़िल को रंगीन बनाने में तेजपाल सिंह, गर्वित शर्मा, जसविंदर परमार, कपिल तिवारी, अतुल नागपाल, पवन त्यागी, दलीप रैना, रमेश ठाकुर, शिव कुमार शुक्ला, जया शर्मा, अंकिता मेघा ने अपनी दिलकश आवाज से उपस्थित सैंकड़ो संगीतप्रेमी दर्शकों का मन मोह लिया. 

इस मौके पर दूरदर्शन की उप महा निदेशक दीपा चंद्रा बतौर मुख्यातिथि उपस्थित रहीं. इस संगीतमय संध्या का मंच संचालन मंजू त्रिपाठी ने बड़े ही मनमोहक अंदाज से किया. इसी दौरान गायक एवं गयिकायों को सम्मानित भी किया गया.

1st Patriotic Film Festival

‘Think Green, Act Green , Eat Green and Go Green’ .These are the slogans followed by most of the nations these days . With the main objective of preservingour environment.’ N.K. Bagrodia Public School, Dwarka celebrated Eco-Week with enthusiasm from 3rd August 2017 to 10th August 2017 to sensitize the students about their responsibilities towards the environment and make the children aware about how they can play a positive role in being instruments of change .

During this week students of all the classes participated in a plethora of activities such as Recycling Champion, Best out of waste, collage on endangered and extinct species of animals, Poster making ,Debates and Group discussion on Man versus Nature. Cleanliness drive was undertaken by students of class VI, the area near the school was selected for the drive .Student took out a rally with banners and posters giving message to grow and protect trees and keep our city clean.They acted locally but thought globally. During cleanliness drive the students went and met people and gave them handouts to motivate them to make their surrounding cleaner.

Students of class VIII staged a “NUKKAD NATAK” highlighting the benefits benefit of maintaining cleanliness at public places and also describing the magnitude of the problems emerging out of unclean surroundings. They stressed on using dustbins for disposing off the garbage.

The events organized for secondary and sr. secondary wing were Inter house Power point presentation on Environmental Degradation and Vanmahotsava. Students participated with full enthusiasm and it was enlightening for them as they did research and understood the need for a green and pollution-free environment for life to survive on earth.

The chief guest Dr. B.C. Sabata (senior scientific officer in the environment department of Govt. of NCT, Delhi ) and principal Dr. (Mrs.) Rajee N. Kumar along with the students spearheaded this drive by planting the saplings in the school ground. The chief guest asked the students to preserve and conserve the environment and stressed the need to understand the concept of sustainable development.

He lauded the efforts of participants.In his inspirational speech,he urged the students to do their bit in ensuring that our planet continues to be a pristine place for us and our future generations to live in.

In short , Eco week went a long way in making the students realize that ‘A big difference to the lives of the dwellers of this beautiful planet stems from the responsible thoughts and individual contributions of each one of us, every day and in every way.’

Representatives from renowned and reputed colleges including IUPUI, Rutgers University, University of St. Thomas, University of Alabama and University of Delaware shared about the numerous prospects that these universities offer including great faculty and a hands on experience for different subjects. The students were also apprised about the hassle free procedure of applying to a foreign university, the unique features, admission criteria and requirements of each university.
