Introductory workshop for XIX World Festival of Youth & Students held successfully in Delhi

New Delhi: On 5th May, 2017. The Introductory Workshop for XIX World Festival of Youth & Students held successfully at Russian Centre of Science & Culture, 24, Firoz Shah Road, New Delhi. More than 250 students from different parts of India participated in the Workshop. This is the 70th Anniversary of Russia-India Diplomatic Relations. This was the curtain raiser programme for the Biggest ever Youth Event in the World with the aim of Youth Leadership & International Relations to be held in Sochi, Moscow ,Russia from 14 Oct. to 22nd October 2017. 

The said event started with the Lightening of lamp to launch the program in India - “XIX World Festival of Youth & Students - The Biggest Youth Event in the World”. Mr. Arseny Starkov, Chief Consultant, Culture and Information, Russian Centre of Science and Culture welcome the dignitaries. After the Video Presentation – Visit Russia: XIX World Festival of Youth & Students in Sochi, Russia by Mrs. Malvika Shastri, BRICS international Forum showed.

Mrs. Purnima Anand, President, International Federation on Indo-Russian Youth Clubs and BRICS International Forum, Dr. V. B. Soni, Former Ambassador, Government of India, Dr. Kamal Taori, IAS (Retd.), Government of India, Mr. Sergey V. Karmalito, Senior Counsellor, Embassy of Russian federation in India¸ also shared their own experiences on the said topic.

The first Session on Youth Leadership & International Relations addressed by Ms. Rini Das Gupta, Partner, Model One Media Production, Dr. Caroline Mannine, BRICS International Forum, Mr. Vinod Anand, Secretary, Youth Ministry Representative & Mrs. Nana M. Mgeladze, Counsellor (Culture), Embassy of Russian Federation in India.

In the Second session, the book “Media Can Do Wonders in Students Life” (Author: Mr. S S Dogra-Senior Journalist & Mg.Editor-Dwarka Parichay Media Group) released by Mr. Sergey V. Karmalito, Senior Counsellor, Embassy of Russian federation in India along with Mr. Arvind Kumar Singh-National Bureau Chief-Rajya Sabha TV, Mr. Sandeep Marwah-Founder -Asian Academy of Film & Television, Dr. Ashok Lav-Author & Poet & Dr.(Prof.) Prasannanshu - Author & Professor in National Law University, Delhi, Mr.Netrapal Sharma-Treasurer, Delhi Journalists Association, Mr.Manish Azad-Radio Jockey-Rainbow India-102.6 FM, Mr. Rajesh Rai-Senior Sports Editor-UNI-The Oldest Indian news agency of India, Mr. Sanjay-IT Head, Mr. Rajesh Chauhan-Editor in Chief of Divya Delhi, Mr.Nayan.

Just after the book release, there a Panel Discussion on the book & all the Key Speakers from Media fraternity spoke about the importance of Media and its utility in Youth’s day to day life. Mr.S.S.Dogra (Author & Journalist) dedicate his book to the 5th Pillar that’s Youth. In his brief speech he raised three important issues on the common platform of Indo-Russia Media Forum.

1. That Indian Government should honor Alexander Mikhailovich Kadakin with Padma Shree Award, 2 His statue should be installed in New Delhi, India & 3. One of the Road in New Delhi should be given his name as a token of respect to his contribution to a healthy relationship to a healthy relationship with India on behalf of Russia.

One souvenir titled the 5th Pillar was also launched on Indo-Russia in the said Media panel discussion. After Panel discussion Mr. Mohammad Akil from BRICS International Forum gave a wonderful live Presentation on “How to participate in the XIX World Festival of Youth & Students in Sochi, Russia. In the end, Ms. Yulia Aryaeva, Embassy of Russian Federation in India all the Media panelists speakers were honored and the programme concluded with Certificate & Awards distribution ceremony. The whole event beautifully hosed by Ms. Ojasvi.
