PARAMOUNT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, DWARKA celebrated its Annual Sports Meet on 12th November , 2011 with great enthusiasm and vigour. The school playground wore a festive look with a tasteful decoration of serene blue and pure white colour combination .The day began with an eclectic mix of nerves, excitement and a culmination of days and nights of preparation .
An impeccable march past by the PARAMS won great approbation from the audience. The sports captain, Nakul Dagar carried the torch around the track inspiring the students to play with integrity, team spirit and discipline. The students then took a solemn oath to take part in the athletic meet in the true spirit of sportsmanship and to abide by all rules and regulations of the event. The well co- ordinated beats of the school band generated an enthusiastic applaud from the audience.
Shri. N.C.Kaushik Education Officer (Directorate of Education) presided as the Chief Guest, Shri. Devender Singh, Deputy Education Officer, Shri. G.H. Gahlot, (Superintendent of Physical Education) and ACP Satbir Singh Malik graced the occasion as guests of honour.

To Fly High. The School M.D. Mrs.R.L.Saroha , asserted in her welcome note that sport is vital in the very young lives of our kids. She emphasized the importance of school sport as it pays huge dividends in a teenager’s development by instilling qualities like teamwork, respect, sportsmanship, determination and competitiveness.
The mass participation of the students was a treat to be witnessed. The dazzling performance of the tiny tots in their shimmering dresses received great ovation from the audience.
Innovational medleys on The Evolution Of Dance, Ball Aerobics, Barbie Dance etc enthralled the audience with their eye-catching performance and excellent choreography . The attractive dance medleys were interspersed with interesting races and immaculate drills .
Interesting races like The Dudu Race, Tunnel Race, Healthy Wealthy Race and the athletic prowess of the PARAMS kept the audience fascinated and spell bound. The students were brimming with creative vivacity and tireless zeal and zoomed ahead by crossing all the hurdles symbolizing their strength to overcome all obstacles of life in the same manner. The annual school report was presented by Ms. Jaspreet Kaur, Sr.Co –ordinator who apprised the audience with the school update i.e. the new endeavours ,the achievements and the proposed plans in the pipeline.
Ms.Rashmi Bajpai, Principal, extended the vote of thanks by thanking the distinguished guests and the august gathering for having spared their time and for gracing the occasion. The Chief Guest Mr.N.C.Kaushik congratulated the students for their excellent performance and also complimented the staff members for their praiseworthy team work and meticulous execution for having made the program a huge success.
In keeping with the school’s policy, the meritorious students were rewarded with certificates along with cash prizes .The Best House trophy was bagged by Emerald House. The Grand Finale was a fascinating sight to be witnessed with all the participants resplendent in their dazzling costumes and the entire teaching staff in lovely pink by their side. The notes of Vande Matram in the background set the perfect scene of patriotic fervor and unity in diversity. However , the show stealer of the day was the impeccable and witty compering by the students which kept the audience brimming with enthusiasm and vigour . Apoorva Sarmal, the lead compere, won special accolades from the distinguished guests and the audience.
The day ended with a feeling of achievement with no sign of exhaustion . There was no feeling of winning or losing but a complete sense of euphoria and celebration.
