School of Law's 1st International Moot Court Competition

School of Law, Ansal University successfully organized the 1st Ansal University International Moot Court Competition from 7-9 April, 2017. The thrilling and intense competition on a highly engaging problem in Public International Law saw teams from top-notch International and National Law Schools battle it out for the top honours. 

The Competition was inaugurated by Justice Bhanwar Singh and Brig (Retd.) M.B. Anand in the presence of Vice Chancellor, Dr. Kamlesh Misra, Registrar, Dr. M.K. Vajpayee and Dean, School of LawDr. Sanoj Rajan. A high profile panel of Judges including Dr. K.C. Chaturvedi, Former Law Secretary, Government of India, Mr. Can Akdogan, ICRC, Dr. Aman Hingorani, Mr. Matthew Slone, American Lawyer and Director-Global Litigation Services, United Lex and Dr. Anuradha Bakshi among others adjudicated the Final Round.

The Competition witnessed some of the eminent persons like from academia, industry and Judiciary in India and abroad to Judge our 1st International Moot Court Competition. Jitendra Chauhan College of Law, Mumbai won the First Prize with Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur emerging as the Runners-up. NLIU Bhopal won the Best Memorial Prize. Shashank Suresh of HNLU was adjudged the Best Speaker while Samyak Sethi of NLU Odisha won the Best Researcher prize.
